Castle Concrete Pumping Headquarters:
This 12,000 square foot warehouse, along with the 1,500 square foot office is the replacement headquarters for a local business, which used to operate from an old office and a barn. The new structure and design are like a breath of fresh air for the building owners and employees.
A design-build project, it consists of a metal building with front office space and two high-bay warehouse spaces, separated by a full height demising wall. The office space has a stucco exterior and houses four offices, a reception area, a small kitchen, storage room, mechanic's office, dispatch room and two bathrooms. The architect chosen for the job, Ken LaFranchi, worked with the contractors to develop alternative designs.
Since the site had a very high water table and most of the existing dirt had a high gravel content, we had to excavate and re-compact for the building pad, using imported soils for all the paving areas.
