Exchange Bank Dutton Branch, Santa Rosa
How do you go about remodeling the entire interior of a bank while the bank stays open for business?
We began by building a temporary wall, essentially bisecting the space. While access to over half of the teller line and platform remained available to customers, we tore down and completely remodeled the half behind the wall. Then, we rerouted access to the finished side of the wall and completed the other half of the space. The 4300 square foot branch interior, designed by the architects at Disrud and Associates, has a new teller line, retail platform, break room and new bathrooms. In addition, we replaced the windows in the building, bringing the building’s glazing up to Title 24 energy standards.
