"Honest, direct and responsive, JMA is better than most contractors. They are very hands-on and communicative. I definitely felt like we were working on a team together." — Eric Christiansen, Auberge Resorts

Winner of Hospitality Design magazine’s 2008 HD Award for Green Design
Our largest project to date, Solage Resort and Spa in Calistoga was completed the summer of 2007. This premiere resort, owned and managed by Auberge Resorts of Mill Valley, CA, consists of 52 cottages which accommodate a total of 89 deluxe guest rooms, 18,000 square feet of spa buildings including yoga and gym buildings, seven geo-thermally heated swimming or soaking pools including a 130-foot pool, a main building with restaurant and bar, an events building, and the administration and general reception building. The design team included renowned Napa Valley architects Backen & Gillam, with rooms and suite interiors designed by Dowling Kimm Studios of San Francisco. The resort was created and built with sustainability in mind, offering an environmentally friendly spa experience for the resort's pampered guests.
With a tight completion schedule looming, we wanted to reinforce our motivation for meeting our deadline, while acknowledging the challenges and accomplishments of our construction team. To that end, we distributed special screen-printed T-shirts to all the subcontractors and our own employees who were pushing themselves and each other to get the work done on time. The back of the T-shirt is pictured above.
