"In my 30 years as an architect, I’ve never had a better experience with a general contractor. JMA’s effort was well beyond my own expectations, those shaped from years of working with contractors of all types and capabilities. From early in the design process through property management after construction completion, JMA embraced the process with quiet but effective leadership, and forward thinking in regards to both client and architect needs and desires." — Werner H. Maassen, Senior Associate, Hart Howerton, San Francisco
Tuscan Meets Fun
Tuscan, schmuscan - whimsical art decorates this family's vacation home in Sonoma County.
Used as a weekend/vacation home for a family based in San Francisco, the owners wanted the home to be built in the Mediterranean style, but desired the interior design to possess an altogether more entertaining attitude. Everywhere one looks, there is humor and whimsy in the distinctive sculptures and other artwork that embellish the home.
In addition to the main house, there is a guest house, plunge pool, detached garage and promenade/tower. During construction, numerous native oak trees were preserved.
