Every JMA project, whether the goal is green building certification or not, incorporates environmentally sound practices:

Site Management

  • Recycle job site construction & demolition waste
  • Donate unused materials
  • Protect native soil
  • Minimize disruption of existing plants and trees
  • Implement construction site stormwater practices

Indoor air quality management

  • Establish effective duct filtration
  • Minimize airborne pollutants
  • Minimize moisture

Subcontractor management

  • Oversee materials management
  • Oversee activities management

In addition, we can assist architects and clients in their green/sustainable building design efforts in the following ways:

  • Assemble and maintain records necessary to document a building's compliance with green building and LEED requirements.
  • Execute new construction methods per specifications, at a reasonable cost.
  • Achieve high recycling rates.
  • Share knowledge of the numerous materials that are rapidly renewable, contain recycled content and emit low VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
  • Recommend high-efficiency equipment and lighting to meet Title 24 requirements.
  • Assist project teams in identifying ways to reach a project's green building and LEED goals.
  • Manage over 50 percent of the points needed for the basic LEED Certified Rating, and 30 percent of the points for the highest Platinum Rating.
